Visitors to Macroom can enjoy scenic walks and the colourful atmosphere of a busy market town with a large square and picturesque old buildings. William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania, lived in Macroom Castle with its turrets and imposing gateway leading off the square. The town has numerous restaurants and pubs. There is a theatre in the town which holds both drama and cinema entertainment. There is also an 18 hole Golf Course.

Comfort and quiet relaxation are the priorities. As would be expected in an old country house, rooms vary considerably with single rooms, twin, double and family rooms available.
